As an artist, I will tell you that the Cherokee Indian Art Market, although not as large as Santa Fe Indian Art Market or the Heard Museum Art Market, has at least the same quality of art as those two world renowned Indian art shows. Serious collectors of Indian art owe it to themselves to attend the Cherokee Indian Art Market. - Argus Dowdy

Cherokee Art Martket 2008 was another huge success sales-wise for me! This was my third year as a participating artist and I am so proud to be a part of CAM. CAM staff was again, ever present for the artist's convenience....whether for information, assistance or short breaks. Check-in for the show was quick and simple. Unloading for set-up was very convenient for the artists. The local and far reaching advertising for the show was excellent bringing many new visitors and buyers to the show both days. I look forward to CAM 2009!! - Verna Bates

The main reasons that I attend the Cherokee Art Market are because it is close, has very affordable and nice accommodations close by, is very artist friendly, and I want to support as many shows within the state as I can. The check in, check out for the art competitions is well planned and runs smoothly. My sales have increased each year and the 2008 Cherokee Market was next to my best for this year, but was the most profitable after factoring in the booth rent, gas, and accommodations as compared to Heard, Santa Fe Market, and Eiteljorg. The central location in the US makes it very convenient for buyers from any part of the country and they will find the best Native American art anywhere because the high prize money attracts the best of the best artists. - Scott Roberts
